Jill and Glen own a small country home about 350kms north of Perth – just outside the twin coastal towns of Dongara-Port Denison.
For the last 10 years their existing solar system has supplemented their entire power bill thanks in large to the generous WA Government Renewable Energy Buyback Scheme (REBS).
But, as they say, “all good things must come to an end” – and unfortunately that good thing called REBS expires after 10 years, so now our country couple need to find a way to ease the expected large utility power cost increase.
After doing some homework, Jill and Glen have decided to take their home off-grid by harvesting their existing free solar energy and storing it in a Redflow battery energy storage system.
Below is a sneak peak of what’s about to happen – we have delivered 3 x 10kWh Redflow ZBM2 batteries to site and roughly mapped where the other components will go, ready for the TIEC team to install.
So – stayed tuned as we deploy our next project in regional WA.
